Overview

Syncupp speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing Claude Code and AI agents to query, inspect, and update your workspace directly:

Ask Claude what deliverables are overdue across your active boards.
Summarize sprint progress and task velocity.
Create new backlog or sprint tasks directly from your code editor or terminal.
Read-only by default to prevent unintended writes.

Quick Setup

In Syncupp, navigate to Settings → Integrations → Claude Code (MCP) (app.syncupp.com/syncupp-2025/settings (opens in a new tab)).
Click Create Key. Select your desired permission scope:
- Read-only (Recommended): Allows inspecting tasks, boards, team members, and meetings without modification privileges.
- Read & Write: Enables creating and updating task cards directly via AI commands.
Configure the key expiration (default is 90 days, configurable up to 365 days or non-expiring).
Copy the generated CLI command and run it in your terminal:

Security Note: Keys begin with sup_mcp_ for instant identification by automated secret scanners. The token is shown only once upon creation.

Available Operations

`whoami`	`read`	Identifies authenticated user identity and active workspace context.
`list_boards`	`read`	Retrieves all boards and project lifecycle containers in the workspace.
`list_tasks`	`read`	Queries task deliverables, filterable by board and workflow status.
`get_task`	`read`	Fetches complete task details, metadata, assignees, and comments.
`list_team_members`	`read`	Returns active team members and role assignments.
`list_meetings`	`read`	Inspects scheduled calendar events and upcoming meetings.
`create_task`	`write`	Creates a new task card in a specified board and section.
`update_task`	`write`	Updates task status, deadlines, assignees, priority, or descriptions.

Custom Client Authentication

If connecting a custom AI agent or script directly to the HTTP endpoint:
